Maria/Lisandra's Wedding Vows Wedding Vows

When I first met you all those years ago, I honestly thought you were frustrating. Which, I believe is everyone’s first impression of you, right? We were at that club, and you asked me to your VIP section, and I remember I went to go tell you off -- and ended up saving your life instead. At least, that was how Lissa and August met, right? Maria and Tony, well we have too much of a history of...well everything, so we’ll leave that out. Let’s not confuse the nice folks right?

But after saving you, and running that investigation, I remember you wouldn’t leave me alone. And when the case was over, and it was time for me to return to Langley, you protested me leaving. Honestly, I had never had someone put their foot down like that before; it was frustrating but also amusing, and if it hadn’t been for you getting me to stay, I most likely would have left and never saw you again. So, thinking you were the most frustrating person I have ever met in my entire life not only kept me in Boston, but in a weird way, it saved my own life as well.

The more I stayed in Boston, the closer we got. I tried so very hard to deny you, I tried so hard to just pretend that I didn’t care for you, but you got under my skin. It took a while for me to realize that you were under my skin from the moment I said yes to staying in Boston and working with you, and it took a long time for me to admit that maybe this beautiful, frustrating, perfect man was the one for me.

That’s not to say there weren’t mishaps along the way. We’ve had things and people get in the way, elevators to get stuck in, snow to keep us off the roads and huddled by the fire. We’ve had all these times where we could have fallen into each other’s arms earlier, but we happened at just the right time. I’ve never been one to believe in things bigger than me, but I suppose when you fall in love with Iron Man, you have to learn to change your point of view, right? But with you, I know that I’m who I am supposed to be. And with you, I’m free.

In a way, you’ve given me a second chance at life, and love. You’ve heard me say it over the years, that I never thought that I deserved happiness, and I had truly believed that -- until I finally opened my eyes to see what was right in front of me: you. You, with your charm and your laughter, and your completely stubborn and frustrating ways, you with your love of your friends and your complete and full love for me. It’s you, love. In a way, since I met you, it’s always been you.

I love you.. Completely and fully, and without doubt or fear, I love you. I always have and I always will.

Tony/August's Wedding Vows Wedding Vows

I could go into detail about how much you used to infuriate me but inspire me at the same time, but this is not our day. This is Lissa and August’s day, and I am going to treat it as such. Lucky for me, August had written down what he wanted to say to you. I threw in a few edits, for obvious reasons. So, here goes.

I’m going to be honest here. I was drawn to you from the start. I saw you in that club, and immediately I couldn’t take my eyes away. Maybe it was something telling me that you would be the one to save my life not minutes later.

I knew then that I needed you to stay. I wanted you to work for me. I had no idea what would eventually come of that, but having you around made me feel safer. I guess near death encounters will do that to you, huh? I’m just a regular guy here, no suit or enhanced abilities, and I needed that. And I’m not going to lie, the way you would get annoyed with me really only further pushed me to nag you. It surprised the hell out of me when you finally accepted my offer.

I have always admired your stubbornness. You refused to bow down to anyone, let alone your new boss - which was me, by the way - and I admired that. I still do. It's one of the many reasons I was attracted to you to begin with. Over the past six years, I have gotten to know you as so much more. You are caring, you are funny, and you are a beautiful soul. Behind that stubborn exterior was a woman who didn't believe she deserved the world. She was willing to sacrifice her own happiness for that of others, and it broke my heart. It broke my heart because I saw a lot of myself in you. For years, I refused to let myself love, or open up to the idea, for fear of getting my heart broken yet again. Somehow, you wove your way in, you broke down the walls that I had put up, and I fell for you.

You have a tendency to call me a cheeseball, and, today, I promise to continue to be one, as it is my duty to make sure you are aware of just how wonderful you truly are. I would do anything to make you smile. No one can bring me joy quite like you do, and I want to spend my life returning the favor. You are my equal, my soul mate, and my treasure. I am lucky to have met you and even luckier to be standing in this very spot with you right now. After the series of almosts we have had, the stars finally aligned and allowed us to be together.

I intend on spending the rest of my days in this world loving you, making you happy, and giving you everything you never thought you deserved. I am so very glad that you opened my eyes and my heart again. So, Micheli - one last time - it would be the greatest honor to call myself your husband from this day forward. You are stuck with me just as I am with you, and there is nothing else that I could ever want. I love you with my whole heart, and I always will.
